WEFE Nexus Human Rights Platform

📋 Description

The WEFE Nexus Human Rights Platform integrates a rights-based approach into the work of the Madagascar WEFE Nexus Community of Practice. It advocates for the recognition, protection, and fulfilment of environmental human rights — including the right to safe water, adequate food, a clean and healthy environment, and free, prior, and informed consent for communities affected by natural resource decisions. The platform works with civil society, communities, lawyers, and government actors to strengthen the legal and institutional frameworks that protect these rights.
