About Madagascar WEFE Nexus Community of Practice

Madagascar WEFE Nexus Community of Practice is a think tank focused on the WEFE Nexus (Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems), committed to promoting integrated and sustainable solutions in Madagascar.

Registered as a youth-led, non-profit association, it was established on May 14, 2024. Our team brings together young professionals from diverse backgrounds, including economics, law, environment, finance, and research, enabling a multidisciplinary and coherent approach.

The headquarters of Madagascar WEFE Nexus is located in Ampitatafika, Lot BM 209 BIS, and Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Guided by the values of excellence, integrity, solidarity, innovation, responsibility, and transparency, the organization works to strengthen capacities, raise community awareness, and train the next generation of environmental leaders in Madagascar.

VISION

Building a generation committed to the sustainable and integrated management of natural resources in Madagascar means training and supporting young people who are aware of environmental challenges and capable of understanding the close interconnections between water, energy, food, and ecosystems.

MISSION

Madagascar WEFE Nexus Community of Practice Think Tank, in collaboration with the UJA Center, implements a school-based awareness initiative aimed at educating students on the importance of environmental protection and integrating WEFE Nexus thinking. This mission seeks to enhance understanding of sustainable natural resource management and to encourage young people to adopt responsible and sustainable behaviors.
